Admissions

Let's face it -- whether applying to middle school, high school, or college,

the admissions process can seem daunting, impersonal, and labyrinthine.

Fortunately, there is an art and a science to it!

I believe that the admissions process can be a phenomenal opportunity for self-discovery. After working together, students consistently report feeling more confident; they understand themselves better and like themselves more. (Many even admit that applying to schools turned out to be fun!) They learn to self-advocate, strengthen their writing, and devise organizational systems that work for them. These skills apply across contexts and far beyond the admissions process.

Results-driven and process-oriented, my approach centers on fit. This revolves around two questions:

1) Is the student an excellent fit for the school?

2) Is the school an excellent fit for the student?

It is a two-way street. It is not about getting into a school; it is about getting into the right school.

Specifically, I assist with:

  • Strategy and Timeline

  • Organizational Plan and Prioritization

  • Research

  • Campus Visits

  • School List

  • Letters of Recommendation (How and whom to ask)

  • Common Application

  • Personal Statement

  • Supplemental Essays

  • Portfolio Creation

  • Interview Preparation

  • Final Review

  • Decision-making (i.e. Choosing the best-fit school once the results are in!)
